Do you remember what you were doing October 13, 2012? I do. I booked a wedding for a sweet lady who was doing wedding planning for her son, John, and his fiance, Paloma, who were living in New York at the time. John was military so they moved all around, but they wanted to get married in New Braunfels. So it fell to mom to attend wedding fairs, meet with vendors and put the whole thing on.
They set the date for March 22, 2013. Just a few days before that date, however, John got orders to be deployed. The wedding would not happen. They were so disappointed. They would be having the wedding, they assured me, it just wouldn't happen right away. Fast forward a couple of years, add a baby to the mix, life happened. They were married in a little courthouse ceremony shortly after the canceled wedding, but they continued to try to plan a ceremony here in New Braunfels.
I told them I'd be happy to photograph their ceremony whenever they finally were able to have it. That day finally arrived April 26, 2015 -- just 2 years and a month late. Boulder Springs was the perfect setting for this sweet celebration.
Congratulations Paloma and John! I'm so glad we stuck it out!
