When it Rains, I Shoot {Gruene Bridal Photography}

Tiffani and Timothy are saying their vows right about now. And I'm there with my camera capturing the gorgeous day at The Milestone in New Braunfels.

It wasn't so gorgeous a few weeks ago, however, when Tiffani was in town for her bridal portraits. Tiffani lives in League City and it's hard for her to get into town for wedding related errands. So when she had one day that she could take off and come into town for her bridal portraits, she just had that one day. And wouldn't you know it was clear and sunny every day that week except that one day.

We talked about our options that afternoon as she sat in the hair and makeup chair getting done up. We talked indoor options and postponement options (there weren't any). And we decided to stick with our original plan to shoot around the Gruene Mansion Inn. We had reservations. They were expecting us. We could work with it.

I think we managed to pull it off. It was pouring the whole time. It was dark. It was dreary. But in spite of that, we managed to get some nice images and even went with the rain for some. I'm glad we stuck it out. Congratulations Tiffani!

Gorgeous Venue for a Gorgeous Couple {Austin Wedding Photography}

Last weekend I took a short little trip up north to Austin to photograph the wedding of Briana and Corey. I had photographed Briana's cousin last year in Yorktown and hit if off with the family so I was excited to get to see some of them again.

I had never been to the Vista at Seward Hill and was blown away when I drove up to this gorgeous little venue tucked away off Bee Caves Road.

It was hard to believe this quiet, peaceful little courtyard was in the middle of a bustling city block.

The crowd was young and active and so much fun to watch. Briana and Corey read their own vows and had their guests in stitches with their humor and candor.

Congratulations you two. I'm so honored to have been able to capture your day!
