Infrared Photography Adds a Unique View to Weddings {New Braunfels and San Antonio Infrared Photography}

My brides can be divided into two groups when it comes to infrared. Those who hate it, and those who love it.

Those who love it are thrilled when we bring the infrared camera along and capture images like these at their wedding or engagement session. We don't even bring it for those brides who hate it. No biggie. We get plenty of beautiful visible light images for them.

But the brides who are lucky enough to have the infrared images included in their galleries are always thrilled with these unique glimpses of their special day.

The conditions have to be perfect for it so not all brides who want it can have it. Cloudy days don't translate well in infrared so we can't use it on rainy or overcast days. We need a lot of light with infrared so weddings that take place after dark or indoors don't work well in infrared.

When we do bring the infrared camera, we usually just pull it out for a few images. Too many infrared images in the gallery take away from the flavor of the. You don't want your whole day in infrared. Just a few to spice up the batch.

Here are some of my favorite infrared wedding images that we've collected.
