Panna Maria holds a special place in the hearts of Texas Polish-Americans. And the people still keep the traditions alive at weddings in this small town.
The whole town showed up for Amy and Daniel's wedding last Saturday. The couple were married by the bride's brother, who happens to be the priest at the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church. He was able to tell sweet stories about Amy of her childhood, including sharing her sweet little stuffed cat, with us.
The church is gorgeous and the family decorated the hall across the street with gorgeous flowers and decor.
The Polish traditions came into play immediately during the reception with some of the older members of the family passing down traditional Polish songs and collecting change and cash for the couple in the form of "Diaper Money" as the song called it.
Congratulations you two!
