Right about now Julia and Jordan are saying their vows at Spinelli's Chapel in Comfort.
But I just met with Julia a couple of weeks ago for her bridal portrait at the McNay. It was a last minute bridal session because her previous date was postponed for rain. She wanted the session to take place out in the country but the nonstop rain for the previous week and then more rain for that weekend of the reschedule means we needed to find a place with indoor options in case it was pouring. We couldn't reschedule it again. We had run out of time.
The McNay was perfect for us. The forecast called for scattered showers. But with the interior options available to us at the McNay we could use the courtyard and front areas when it wasn't raining and then go inside when it was raining. Fortunately for us, it didn't rain at all during the session so we were able to use all areas as much as we liked.
The McNay is always beautiful but one of the things I don't like about it is sharing it with all the other photographers that are always out and about shooting sessions there. That wasn't the case this time. The rain before the session had chased most everyone away. We had the place all to ourselves. And the sky was gorgeous. I'll share photos of the wedding with you in a few days. For now, take a look at some of Julia's bridal portraits.
